Pros

Competitive Pay, Benefits, Company issued vehicle, furnished tools, corporate card, company laptop with air card, company phone. Were are given all the tools needed to perform our jobs successfully.

Cons

At times hours vary drastically from 32 hrs to perhaps 60 hrs per week. Days can be 4 hrs or less and even 12 hrs or more. We have jobs scheduled in time slots but these jobs can be quite large and lengthy. We have the capability of driving long distances. All in all we are hourly paid so this can also be a pro depending on how you look at it.

Pros

Great opportunity for beginners in the IT industry. Learn to work with an IT team. Learn repair processes and importance of communication. Turnover rate is pretty high in a retail environment so advancement opportunities are almost inevitable if that is what you want. Tuition Reimbursement

Cons

Terrible work schedules Held to a much higher standard of technician than they have the willingness or capacity to pay Work holidays or find another job Usually a huge shortage of quality team members

Pros

An enormous amount of freedom when you are a field agent. Very little "micro-managing", you are basically free to do as you please as long as your work gets finished. As well, you get to meet new people in their homes every day, which is quite addicting when contemplating working inside a store again. Finally, every day is a new experience... New technology, new people, tons of memories will be made at this very enjoyable job.

Cons

Moving up inside the ranks of Geek Squad is while in Geek Squad is nearly impossible. Most promotions are given to supervisors and management inside the store instead of the hard working installers that are in the field.
