Pros

This is a teaching hospital. I did learn a lot as new nurse. 97% of the time this is a new nurse friendly hospital.

Cons

This hospital is constantly evolving and making improvements. every hospitals have their own downfall. This one is staffing and another is not a lot of seasoned nurses left on most floors.

Pros

Busy floor with a lot of patient activity. Keeps the job from getting boring because you never really know what's going to happen around you during your shift

Cons

The job by itself is repetitive and not very challenging. Lots of filing and record keeping. No promotion opportunities and on average 50 cent raises. Once you meet the maximum hourly wage for your position, you will receive a small bonus, but no raise.
