Pros

Direct supervisor is very supportive.

Cons

Work atmosphere is awful. People are stretched to the limit and stressed. There are a few people who don't treat coworkers well and nothing is done. It's like high school all over. Organization wants EVERYTHING to be standard across the entire system, without thinking about how different the main campus is from sites in other regions. They pay for outside companies to do surveys to measure employee engagement, but don't act on what is most dissatisfied. Total waste of money. They roll out changes to processes without including the people who will be following the new process. Everything is based on data with no front line staff input. Expected to see same number of patients with 5 fewer providers and are told you have to find an appointment when the schedules are full months in advance. Need to look at reasons physicians are leaving and why new physicians don't want to work for Geisinger
