Work / Life balance, diversity, smart people that are helpful, great office space, benefits, salary, perks, the industry is exciting. In it for the long game.

Pros

-Great pay -Great benefits -Decent schedule and work/life balance The people team seems to be really trying to foster an environment of inclusivity and diversity. Sometimes it feels forced but I appreciate it

Cons

-Middle management is NOT good at people management -Leadership seems overly confident in personal ideas and not open to user-centric research -Disorganized internal processes -Lack of collaborative team work drive. Feels like it's "every man for themselves" -Insensitive micro agressions are constantly said in office Honestly, I'm only staying because of the pay. I've been here for about a year and there's been a change promised to me for 5 months now and Im starting to lose faith. Planning to start looking for jobs elsewhere if movement isn't made. Only take this job if you're ready to REALLY advocate for yourself. In my experience it's hard to find a trustworthy mentor or champion.

Rewarding and Challenging Work

Pros

In my experience at Gemini, quality, thoughtful and consistent work product and taking initiative is rewarded with more responsibility, autonomy, and accountability. The work becomes increasingly challenging over time and the career development opportunity is exponentially faster and more valuable than anything I've experienced in traditional finance. I'm treated more senior and participate in more demanding work (both internally and externally) than any of my counterparts at banks. Gemini has been an incredible place to work at the forefront of an emerging industry and for thought leaders in this pivotal technology.

Cons

Not specific to Gemini, but overall this is a challenging and volatile industry.
