Pros

Lots of pair programming. Lots of different projects to work on. Everyone is generally friendly.

Cons

Heard first-hand stories of bosses talking about religion and other not appropriate for work stuff at work. Difficult to convince the higher-ups to try different technologies. The company not living up to its own standards.

Pros

I have been at GenUI for about 6 months and have been amazed by the scope and breadth of the projects here. In 20+ years in the software industry, I have never managed as many varied, interesting, and challenging projects as I have here. In addition, almost all of our projects have a real impact either on the world or on the advancement of what you can achieve in software. Beyond that, GenUI cares about diversity and inclusion beyond just using them as buzzwords. We have regular internal conversations about how to grow as a company, how become more diverse than we already are, and why that diversity is important to the success and future of our company.

Cons

The lack of stock options and awards makes GenUI a little less lucrative to work at.
