Inconsistent time lapses and was given undesired work

The engineering department has completely imploded in a remarkably short amount of time. 15+ engineers (the entire department) that were working here just a year and half ago are all gone. All of the knowledge of the internal processes and research and development projects is gone with them. It is only near the very end of the employee exodus that management has found the clarity (hazy as it may be) to realize that something might not be going well. This is now a company that you should definitely avoid. However, if you do find yourself in the bizarre position of working here as an engineer in this ghost town of engineering department, it is unlikely you will want to stick around for longer than a year.
