      Pay, food and the transportation

      HORRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK FOR. They have no room for learning. They expect you to know everything from you first day of training. They watch you like a hawk and judge you on every question you ask. Not a comfortable learning environment. This was a entry level job and training was a month long at a intensive level. Every time I asked a question or needed help, my manger would call me saying I shouldn’t be asking questions and I should have already understood the material, although my “trainees” told us we could ask questions.

      Roche's cut-throat, toxic culture has infiltrated and contaminated Genentech Promotions are based on favoritism, and sucking up and whims of managers Good people are getting laid off, with no rhyme or reason I can list many more, but it's too depressing

      Great salary, amazing benefits and true intent to do what is right for the patient.

      Cons

      Typical bureaucratic, layered culture of an "old school" pharma company made decision-making long and tedious and subsequently impacted getting things done quickly. Also, extremely competitive environment can make it tough for individuals wanting to explore different opportunities in the company. Seems to be more about "WHO you know" than what you know in terms of skills and competencies.
