Great Company for the Most Part
Pros
I started in an administrative position and was able to work my way up towards Specialist. I would say this is possible depending on your manager but isn't the rule. I've seen other similar admin professionals climb quickly if they're skilled, likeable and probably younger. Benefits are top-notch, although right now they are moving in a direction of more dispersed global support for IT, HR, Finance, etc. This can make the little things about your employment kind of frustrating, although this could become better over the next few years.
Cons
- There can be a sense of entitlement amongst certain higher level employees, especially those that have been with the Company for a long time. This can be great if they're advocating for you, or terrible if you are an impediment to what they need. - I would say that salaries are lower (for the most part) than at a lot of other Bay Area companies. Not significantly, but noticeably.
