Pros

Use to have the best minds from all walks of life with a common goal to succeed no matter how long it took. One would go home every night with pride and well deserved self respect for making a difference in a world that rarely cares about the cogs that keep the world turning.

Cons

Most of the knowledgeable talent were let go while replacing them with young misinformed management not understanding how to manage aging equipment, indifference to their reports, very shaky and dismal future in SSF. What a shame, it was such a joy to go to work and now it seems chaotic, badly managed with most employees hiding rather than working to produce the badly needed proprietary cancer meds our patients have depended on with assurance for many years. Now it is just hot or miss if batches run through the plant successfully or most likely with many issues that so easily could be avoided if management were more knowledgeable or even care for the long term.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Since our founding in 1976, our focus remains on patients, science and our people. Pros

Steady reliable paycheck.... if you don't get laid off! Jobs are super-specialized. Its an assembly line. If you want to be an expert in something, its a pro. Most (not all) groups have good work-life balance. Good benefits - generous 401K match, good childcare, stock options, fertility benefits including egg freezing etc. Flexibility in work hours. Work from home options, remote work locations. Open working environments - desks are first come first serve, no assigned seating, office etc. Lots of resources for approved projects.

Cons

Jobs are super-specialized. Its an assembly line. If you want to variety, innovation, exciting, new, different things to do - it may not happen... Medical benefits are not as good as many companies. If you have $35 copay for 12 physical therapy visits that adds up to 420 - not cheap! Once you put your child in their daycare, you are stuck. The thought of finding another childcare is daunting! Daycare is open 6.30 am - 6.30 pm so you will end up spending unhealthy amounts of time at work. Infant care teachers are constantly leaving. Teachers quality is spotty. But your child is familiar with the center and comfortable - why disrupt that!!! 401K matching and bonus are in late March so you are stuck there till then. Stock options vest every quarter - how deep can those hooks go! They make it hard to leave. They give us flexibility because they have too. Most days meetings will start at 7 am (working with Europe). You may have meetings with Singapore, Shanghai. So you might be working at 7am, 7 pm, 11 pm ! Open working environments - no walls, no sound or visual privacy. Can be very stressful for extroverts also. Hard to find people. Compa Ratios are low. Hierarchical Favoritism by some managers

Thank you for leaving us a review. Our mission to do now what patients need could not be accomplished without our passionate and diverse workforce. We are grateful for our employees and strive to create meaningful and enriching experiences and opportunities. We encourage you to check-in with your manager if there is a project, rotation, or change you would like to explore. Moreover, our benefits and perks, such as career coaches, sabbaticals, transportation services, and onsite childcare were designed to make life better both at work and at home. Thus, we’d like to clarify that at our childcare centers you have the freedom to pick up your child whenever you need to. Thank you again for leaving a review and for your time here!
