      Genentech is mostly a great place to work

      Pros

      We make amazing medicines, people are very smart and treat each other well, facilities and benefits are very good. Depending on the job, work hours can be very flexible, or not.

      Cons

      After a while it can get too cozy to leave. Genentech is part of Roche, a Swiss company, with sites all over the world, which can complicate collaborating across the time zones. Plenty of early mornings or late nights.

      Good overall company; takes good care of the employees

      Cons

      High nepotism; people get jobs with no interviews internally. Not what you would expect from a top tier company. That is the facts. HR really needs to educate managers across the board; pervasive toxic HR practices...

      Pros

      There are none because of the upper managements treated unfairly and favored his/her kids who work here. Therefore, the answer is still no........

      Cons

      This place is the most politic ever. That is what made a lot of people not happy and start to leave. Never thought this is happened here at Genentech. Think twice when applying.
