Pros

Amazing technology, great, dedicated, talented people, opportunities for internal advancement abound both upward and laterally. Many employees with long tenures which speaks to numerous reasons why people join and stay. Has a company funded retirement plan (in addition to 401k)...who hears of that these days?

Cons

Privately held so resistant to pressures that publicly traded companies with stockholders must respond to, processes, procedures and adoption of efficiency and productivity enhancing advancements in some areas years behind. Change happens but often too slowly to maximize the full benefits. More like closing the barn door after the horse is gone type of thing.

Pros

Pleasant and hard-working employees and most management.

Cons

Personality driven direction rather than following process. Talented folks leave as they get fed up with the politics. Quality group leadership is lacking.
