Pros
Just about everyone here is willing to help and give advice. Good 401k matching (5% as an E1). Good place to get introduced to the defense world and General Dynamics is a good resume builder.
Cons
There's no way to hold anyone accountable for late work or poor quality. Schedules and due dates just get moved out to accommodate the get-things-done-last-minute attitude. Work comes and goes in waves. You either have too much or too little to do. Salaries and bonuses do not reflect the level of effort people put into their job. The New London / Groton area has very little to offer in the way of entertainment and social life.
