Pros
There is a lot of job security and the benefits package is very good. 401k contribution, dental vision and medical, as well as 10 paid holidays per year, 6 of which you can float by working 40 hours during the week that the holiday occurs. Most people float all 6 and use then during the winter shutdown which is 5-6 days. You either need to take vacation for that, use the floated holidays, or don't get paid.
Cons
Everything seems to move at a snails pace. Very pigeon holed. Parking is a disaster at the New London facility if you arrive after 7 am. I am not from Eastern Connecticut. If you are not, you probably will not like the area very much. Just my thoughts, and the thoughts of others from the midwest and the south. But, people from the northeast seem to like the are just fine.
