Pros

After a lot of thought, I cannot honestly think of good points for these guys.

Cons

Bought out CSRA. Said employees would have an honest chance to show what they were worth and compete to keep job. That did not happen. Used as long as necessary to keep government customer happy then layed off. 5 minutes notice, written notice in email, hard copy with information on retirement and benefits did not arrive until weeks later, too late regarding some actions. Over 20 years with bought out company and with local government customers. All reviews were outstanding, including the one three months prior. Avoid these guys like the plague.

Pros

I worked with some of the smartest people in the industry at the director and solution architect levels. There are/were people there who are leagues ahead of others I have worked within the industry.

Cons

GDIT’s biggest enemy is itself as I saw opportunities get squandered or plain missed due to poor VP level management. Leaders are supposed to simplify things and knock down barriers. GDIT has VPs who erect barriers. The GDIT acquisition of CSRA left my group with a VP who lacked the industry experience, life experience, technical chops, the intellect, and maturity for the role. Even worse this VP is an idea thief. It became increasingly hard to support the company after being saddled with such a poorly thought out VP promotion. Even harder was taking the next level of VPs seriously as people or professionals. I guess this person wasn't a threat to the VPs above them. Corporate IT infrastructure is particularly challenging. Network outages at corporate HQ aren’t uncommon. Random Password lockouts are also a thing.
