      Backwards management dedicated to self-promotion while we are losing key contracts.

      Pros

      9/80 schedule is good, not much overtime if any (Its $25 I didn't have before), benefits are generous if you were in before 2007.

      Cons

      Management is directed by HR policies of the week (raises, bonuses, and layoffs are all calculated from mismanaged SuccessFactors), self-promotion CYA is the only way to get ahead in this place, JOAP system is a joke, MMPSF (most meaningless positions per sq ft) of any company, mahogany row is too busy padding their wallets to realize the ship is sinking FAST

      Positive experience in terms of support from departmental management, but very poor planning from executive managment.

      Pros

      Company paid tuition assistance for continuing education Flexible work schedule can allow for every other Friday off Type of work can be rewarding as it supports military efforts

      Cons

      Workload is poorly planned, constantly shifting from "fire drill" to "very slow" Engineering constantly having to change job functions due to industry dynamics Executive management (VP level) tends to be condescending to employees--not receptive to information flowing upward Fist-pounding management style -- shows lack of leadership, motivation skills, vision, and respect for capable employees

      Pros

      Every other Friday is a sceduled day off. You do your 9 hours per day and then head out the door.

      Cons

      Management is incompetent. Technology is not valued and don't ever dare to suggest doing something different than it has always been done.
