Pros

The work you do here impacts our military and helps to support and protect our troops. The facility is beautiful, safe, and the overall culture is very friendly and welcoming. There are employees that have worked their entire career in this organization and are a wealth of knowledge. Being in defense, there is a stigma that these organizations are set in their ways but GDLS is striving to break those stereotypes and has a very active HR team dedicated to bringing in diverse talent and supporting employees to cultivate a culture of inclusion. The 9/80 schedule is fantastic - having every other Friday off is a dream.

Cons

It seems the only way to make fair wages is to leave and come back. As a whole, the company seems to have blinders on in regard to having the resources and staffing to support growth. Scalability is an issue.
