Pros

- Staff discounts on clothing items - fair amount of time for lunch breaks - a fast paced working environment to encourage you to feel "energised"

Cons

- No proper training, and you are expected to know absolutely everything. There is no consideration for the fact that it is a new company and environment in which you are working in - you get serious scoldings for making a mistake - increases paranoia and feelings of anxiety, because conversations with customers are all overheard by management. If conversations are "unable to be sustained" or you are seen not speaking to customers shifts are immediately taken off you, or you are given a "strike" and sent home without giving you a chance to explain - Pitt street management used condescending mannerisms to speak to staff and reduced your shift times to none if you were seen not greeting a customer. It didn't matter about the context or your situation. They exercised on power abuse and manipulation - showed a total and utter lack of care or concern over the wellbeing of employees, especially young and new ones who have entered the business without much experience - never properly trained you for simple things such as use of the register but would perceive you in a negative light if you asked for help - poor organisation, remained totally out of touch with new employees. Most remained confused about who to contact for shift times. Managers would often be too busy or unavailable to answer any enquiries from new employees No wonder retention of staff are difficult and impossible for such a toxic working environment to abuses the naivety and enthusiasm of young working people. - disregarding the sweat, care and effort all these young talent are pouring into their jobs, naive and too keen to impress.
