Thank you for providing feedback. All feedback helps us understand how to make GP a better place to work and I appreciate your willingness to speak out.
Having joined the company in an administrative support role myself, I can personally attest to the want and willingness of GP to promote from within and give our existing staff an opportunity to take a larger role if they have the ability, experience, skill set, and desire to do so. I value and appreciate the many opportunities I’ve been given and I am committed to continuing our history of promoting from within the GP family. In just the past year, we’ve promoted several existing staff to bigger roles, many of them very key roles, and will continue to do so when that promotion makes good business sense and personal sense for the employee. There is a very delicate balance of promoting vs. hiring from outside and I feel like we’ve achieved a good mix of doing both for the continued growth, stability, and progression of the company. We encourage every employee who desires advancement to make that known to their managers and HR, so that when opportunities arise we can increase their exposure and enhance their experience level. We also post all jobs internally, to give interested employees the chance to discuss the opportunity for advancement. Additionally, we offer a tuition reimbursement program for existing employees who have the desire to move up, but do not have the required educational background.
With regard to work\life balance, I can again personally attest that being involved in the service business makes this a challenge, and over the past couple years we’ve added additional infrastructure and support in an effort to level out the work loads of all our workers. We will continue these efforts as we continue to grow and evolve the company.
Again, thank you for reaching out. If desired, please reach out to me personally and we can discuss your concerns in greater length.
