      Solid Company with lots of room for growth.

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity for growth, learning, and development. Company is large enough to weather the storm of healthcare reform.

      Cons

      Rehab managers have expectations from too many people at times. Corporate micromanages at times. (especially nursing home side of the company, worse than rehab corporate).

      Pros

      Genesis is a huge company and has multiple locations, so if you are short on hours potentially you can say you're available to cover other facilities. I've worked at two facilities and they seem to try and do the same things from building to building, all rehab/short-term staying patients in one wing of the facility for example. Also fellow co-workers are very helpful even to per diem staff.

      Cons

      Scheduled patients for the day can be done at anytime, and one facility is done by 5am while another facility doesn't complete the schedule until 9am. It would be nice if there was a set time that the schedules would have to be completed.

      Pros

      My experience was so bad that I can't think of any.

      Cons

      This company micro manages their employees to the point of requiring them to call following an evaluation for any patient that the therapist does not feel is appropriate for therapy so that they can tell you how they are appropriate. They also over staff with the hopes that the therapists will pick up more patients in order to get their hours.
