Great culture & Low prospects of growth

Pros

- Leadership shows empathy and cares about employee wellbeing - Great benefits - Unlimited PTO

Cons

Prospects of growth are very limited, why? - The company has a huge amount of middle management (like 200 directors and 7-8 levels which is a large number for the company of its size) - lots of bureaucracy leads to a less than optimal rate of innovation - The engineer to manager promotion rate is extremely low, making leaving the company for a higher ranking job the only viable option for people who want to grow professionally

Pros

I have been working at Genesys for five months and it has been great. I get to work with very smart and nice people. The job is challenging but also rewarding. Benefits are very good. The location is great. It has all the that I could ask for.
