      Pros

      Some good people, flexible work environment, ability to work from home.

      Cons

      R&D is archaic. Extremely untrusting and silo-ed environment. No trust, communication, or collaboration between any groups in R&D. Language diversity is good. Being left out because you don't speak a different language is bad. Unfortunately the latter is the standard. If you weren't an original Alcatel Lucent employee you are an outsider and always will be. Engineers who have been there 7+ years are not "trusted"

      Good growing company, sometimes difficult to get things done

      Pros

      Growing company with great vision. Strong EMEA leadership. Well positioned at the top end of the market with sophisticated solutions.

      Cons

      Highly matrix-ed structure sometimes makes it difficult to get things done. Must ask lots of people or go really high up to get someone to say yes. HQ in Frimley very nice facility, but remote. Sometimes not focused on the customer enough.

I agree with you that sometimes a matrixed structure has its challenges; we have been working hard on improving this with various internal initiatives and I believe we've gotten a lot more streamlined and aligned.       Highly innovative company - with an overly traditional culture

      Pros

      Genesys is - without question - the most innovative company in interaction management software. I strongly believe in the products but the organization will need to change to create the opportunity to deliver these products to the enterprise utilizing their full feature set. This is the only way to justify the development of products that are light years ahead of the competition

      Cons

      All the best efforts of the product side of the company are rendered useless by poor adoption of the sales side and the professional services side, who well in traditional sales models or who are unable to execute on non traditional implementations. Training on new products in the delivery organization is almost non-existent. this leads to problems pertaining to pre-sales and delivery. It also Leads to implementations that demonstrate limited use of the feature set of the products.
