      How a company treats Its' Employees

      Pros

      At one time, this was a great place to work. As a part of the LTC team pre- 2013, until the bitter end, it was once a great place. A committed team, great product, great leadership, great culture, etc..While I recognize that the perfect storm that led to Genworth being downgraded, etc, because of the LTC industry as a whole facing huge challenges, how they handled things was horrible.

      Cons

      After 2013, everything. Broken promises. No leadership. Inability to process business. Inconsistent underwriting. Not being properly paid. Awful leads.

      Good company overall, but struggling.

      Pros

      Great people who really care about their customers. Excellent benefits. Most leaders really do care about their employees.

      Cons

      Pay is low. A lot of layoffs. Company doesn't seem to know where they are going. A lot of red tape to get anything done. Work life balance has improved over the years.

      Family atmosphere, work life balance, opportunity to advance and good education programs

      Cons

      Shrinking product offering, layoffs every few months and senior leaders that don't care about the operations teams.
