Pros

Autonomous driving area is growing an solving key challenges for the automotive industry. Intelligent employees and innovative mindset are experienced daily. Customers like what GeoDigital is delivering, namely high quality map data and software solutions. Major growth and hiring in this area to happen in Q4 2016 I am told. AD management and employees work as a collective team to solve issues. If you want to challenge yourself in a new and growing area, the autonomous driving area is the best place to be in the automotive industry.

Cons

Limited budget and funding caused a leaner approach to technology development, but new investment in Q4 will change that. AD group has a lot to do in a short time so hiring key talent will be critical. GeoDigital has gone through a lot of change but the autonomous driving area has been stable and able to deliver to customer expectations. Other negative reviews on glass door point out a missed opportunity for GeoDigital. I believe the company is gaining momentum and starting to gain market share and new business.

Horrible culture - no teamwork, lots of blame

Pros

I honestly don't have any pros, it truly was a terrible company. They just had a huge layoff as well.

Cons

There was a mandate that everyone had to come into the office (after we all were hired on and told we could work from home). For most of us, the commute was horrible, and there was no purpose to work in the office. In fact, the office was not conducive to taking any phone calls - there was no privacy at all.

Pros

Slightly flexible schedule OT is always available Great coworkers

Cons

When everything is a rush nothing is a rush but it is still treated that way Lack of IT and R+D development for existing business units Entry level work is contract, strung along for years with the "chance" of a full time spot Some full time spots are filled by people who shouldn't have them Large amount of pressure on the production unit while management invests in emerging markets The blame game is always played. No one will own their mistakes or ask why they happened.
