Pros

Great for college grads to learn from. Learn as much as you can and then get out. This place is a dead end job as many. Harness your skillset and leave. But prepare to put in long hours!

Cons

The owner is a one man shop . There is one org chart, the owner, below sits everyone else. You are expected to work long hours, if you are a member of the 42:30 club then you are nothing. You are considered a warrior if you stay late. Completing job assignments is just not enough, if you just sit there after 5:30 pm you are considered a hero. Since you are putting the hours in, playing online poker or video games as long as you are in front of a monitor screen you should be golden and will mostlikely be promoted. One of the worst management of people I've seen. People working in factories probably are treated better. This company tries to be hip by offering free sodas, the benefits are bad to average. PTO don't even think about asking for vacation, you are considered an enemy for asking and will be personally attacked for just thinking of vacation. You are also not allowed to have a personal life, no work life balance. Do not dare to have outside activities, the company IS your sole purpose. If you want to work for a place that treats you like you are sub human and insult you and blame you for management's decision, please apply.

Pros

Here are the benefits currently provided by Geographic Solutions: Geographic Solutions pays 100% of an employee’s health insurance. Only 14 companies on this year's Fortune “100 Best Companies to Work For” list pay 100% of their employees' health-care premiums. Geographic Solutions primary health insurance is currently a PPO plan. This also includes a small Life Insurance policy. Other health insurance options are available. Geographic Solutions provides a cafeteria plan of additional benefits such as dental, vision, gym membership etc. Geographic Solutions has provided an employer match to their 401k plan every year since I have worked at the company. Employees initially receive 20 paid days off per year (Holidays/ PTO). Average in the US is 14 days for less than 1 year of service. After 3 years of service paid days off are increased to 32 days. Average in the US is 18 days for 3 years of service. Paid Time Off days do not expire and can be cashed in if not used. Telework program is available (1-2 days per month) .

Cons

Geographic Solutions pays 25 percent of the employee’s health care insurance costs for additional family members and dependents. Employee premium is paid at 100 percent.
