If you get a chance to be a work study it is extremely convenient because it's on campus and I have always been treated well. If you find a job that is somewhat related to your major then it can also be good experience.

Cons

There are a lot of jobs that simply just pay and are really not that mind stimulating. They are simply very beginner jobs that can be very boring.
