      Pros

      The benefits package okay, not great, but okay.

      Cons

      The pay is low and staff are stretched thin. Some people receive much higher pay. It doesn't matter what you achieve or how much education you have. You will not receive a promotion and raises are 0-2% per year, which doesn't keep up in way with inflation. There is no way to professionally develop. Parking is ridiculously expensive.

      Pros

      Great place to work early in your career due to tuition benefits, skills and network. Good exposure to function of large organizations.

      Cons

      Bureaucracy makes many processes inefficient. Office politics are the sole basis for high-level decisions in some parts of the university which has had negative consequences.

      Overall Work Experience as a Student Front Desk Assistant at the MBA Career Center

      Pros

      Great co-workers! I love the people who work at this office because they are all so friendly and helpful, both the students and faculty. The faculty go out of their way to get to know the student workers and I really appreciate it. The students that come into the career center are always very appreciative of the front desk workers, so it is nice to be noticed and appreciated by so many people!

      Cons

      The first shift starts at 8 am, and it is very busy with a lot to do in order to open the office so early in the morning. You also do not get paid extra for doing all of the extra work of opening the office.
