      Alright but not in the long term

      Pros

      I worked here while getting my master's degree. I enjoyed it for convenience sake but don't think it would make a good permanent employer due to bureaucracy.

      Cons

      The large institutional organization and bureaucracy makes changes and efficiency very difficult at high levels. This, ultimately, makes change hard to achieve.

      Needs strong top-down command authority and structure, more decision-making, less politics.

      Pros

      Free tuition, name recognition, ok benefits, good environment with respect to family life. Most management is accepting of families, kids, and a home life.

      Cons

      Internal politics interfere with everything. Lack of good executive management decisions. Lack of consistent direction by management -- too many false starts and dropped priorities.
