HR personnel and processes are terrible and paychecks are sometimes delayed by months (expect to go 2 - months without receiving your first paycheck due to "processing"; highly vertical management structure with managers who do very little and often take credit for their employees' work in terms of promotion, deliverables, and publications

Parking is very expensive within the expensive Georgetown areas. Traffic could be nightmare if you don't manage to avoid the peak hours in DC metropolitan area.
