      Pros

      Decent salary (but low compared to other universities in the area) and the possibility of a tuition benefit.

      Cons

      No pension, limited benefits, incompetent management, rampant emotional abuse, and struggling so much financially that I was concerned for my job the entire time I was there. Also, had i had the financial means, I would have filed a law suit for mistreatment and discrimination. I highly recommend to everyone I know to never work there. It simply isn't worth it.

      Pros

      It's a good place to grow and lean on the Georgetown brand. People are generally very nice and there is a nice community theme throughout the university.

      Cons

      Not that many opportunities to get promoted and there are minimal merit/cost of living increases. You tend to get siloed into your department so it's not a good place if you want variety.

      Beautiful campus, good education, poor bureaucracy

      Pros

      I love working on such a beautiful campus, being surrounded by high-level education. The location is great and there are always fun activities and interesting lectures going on.

      Cons

      To some extent this probably depends on which department you are in, but support staff across the university are very hit-or-miss. There are some extremely incompetent people working at the university, and it seems like it must be nearly impossible to fire them.
