Pros

Large corporation, name recognition within the Southeast.

Cons

The company is owned by a mega-billionaire whose father was a founding member of the John Birch society. That should tell you everything you need to know about the corporate culture being brought into GP since the takeover. When I was hired, lots of promises were made about "big bonuses". After I was hired, I was told I wouldn't be eligible for a bonus for at least 3 more years. And this happened to everyone else hired in my department during the same time.

Pros

MBM guidelines positive. Non bureaucratic environment. Great decision making framework allows for economically sound decision making. Since the company is not answerable to wall street, there is greater focus on long term value creation. Senior Management is very humble and 'down to earth'. Bonus is completely based on value creation and has no cap. Huge upside is possible if an employee creates commensurate value

Cons

Middle management has still not adopted MBM in its true sense. People have a tendency of misinterpretation and often misusing when they don’t completely understand. Makes for a somewhat confusing environment and value attribution
