Pros

A steady pay check You can make a difference but you have to stay focused amid a lot of confusing directives. MBM Guiding Principles will work if we practice integrity in everything we do.

Cons

Welcome to the a new world view of no pay raises eventhough you have created value. Practice what is up on the walls of our businesses (MBM Guiding Principles).

Pros

GP produces some excellent products that provide value to consumers. The manufacturing capabilities and competence are equal or superior to their competition.

Cons

The implementation of the MBM culture at GP is being done at various levels of commitment depending on the business unit and department. This creates confusion when working cross functionally. Most decisions are made at the highest levels making most people at the VP level or lower forced to play a tactical role rather than utilizing the years of experience and knowledge. They are cultivating a work force that will stand around waiting to be told what to do my their superiors which is completely opposite of the MBM approach. Most employees seem insulted by the treatment they receive and I expect that many will leave for a culture that allows them to grow and prosper once the economy improves.

Pros

Personal Development, and career opportunities. The company has gone a series of new owners over the past fifteen years with a continuous strive to improvement and energy and resource reduction, this has left the company with a reduced but highly prouctive asset base, with a competitive marketing strategy, Continued focus on product quality and the correct product portfolio, will see G.P. emerging from the present economic downturn with sustainable competitive advantage.

Cons

High expectations and over committment. A high focus on improving safety performance that is yielding a poor crop.
