Pros

Charles Koch's MBM management philosophy is sound ; Being a privately held company has changed the long term vision for the company compared to when GP was a public company. Encouraged to challenge up an across the organization and not be penalized.

Cons

career development is lacking; little to no attention by senior leadership to develop high performers as they are too focused on driving bottom line results. Some areas of business are better than others, but in general , the employee need to drive their own career path- dont sit and wait

Pros

They pay well for top credentials, experience and education. You will be indoctrinated to the corporate culture of Market-Based Management or MBM, which is extremely successful. If you have an interview, do yourself a favor and either read the book, "The Science of Success" by Charles Koch, or at a minimum, Google Market-Based Management and be familiar with the 10 guiding principles. You are given a fair amount of creative latitude to do your job. The company is very profitable and well funded and they value good ideas. Lastly, you will meet many hard working, very smart people.

Cons

Results are valued more than people. Many talented and smart people were forced to leave the company for reasons that never made sense to many. Develop a backup plan to working there because any day could be your last.

Pros

The company offers educational assistance. Flexible schedule Wellness program Most of the people that I worked with were nice and friendly.

Cons

Raises were few and far between. Management played favorites when it came to promotions. Management forces employees to learn and abide by MBM, but does not buy into MBM themselves. If you have an education, good luck trying to grow your career. Toxic working environment Management treats employees like children, not responsible adults.
