Pros

Courses are rigourous, and professors are top notch. The benifits of working as a student include a tution waiver and also a stipend, which is great. OMCS has also opened up a lot of oppurtunities for work.

Cons

Like all big organisations, there are layers upon layers of rules and forms. The lack of flexibility hurts sometimes.

Pros

Georgia Tech is a very sound technical educational institution. Very competent faculty, good staff, great and interested students, great location (mid-town Atlanta). Its engineering programs are among the highest rated in the country, and they deserve to be.

Cons

Being a state institution and state employees in a state like Georgia definitely has its disadvantages. No salary increases in six years! And I do not like being on campus with the "guns everywhere" legislation passed in Georgia last year.
