Pros

Great support from professors and peers, great contacts with professors, get to learn alot and stay in touch with your syllabus for that specific class

Cons

The pay is awfully low and the workload can get in the way of your schedule if not planned before hand. Otherwise great position.

Pros

Working as a graduate teaching assistant was a very beneficial experience. Teaching entry level class improved my understanding of the basics, and it also helped me with my communication skills.

Cons

Can't really think of anything I'm not satisfied with. The training before the begging of the semester was very intense. I understand the benefits of "learning to teach", but most people just didn't care much about it.
