Pros

Students get paid easily and also receive tuition waiver. Tuition is tons of money for out-of-state student. Therefore, it it very worth to take the TA position. Also, it is also pretty interesting to answer questions.

Cons

The workload is absolutely not small. You may expect the workload is equal to or even heavier than you actually taking a course.

Pros

Always working on innovative projects. Working there as a graduate research assistant at the School of Aerospace engineering gave me incredible opportunities to get my hands dirty and discovery new things.

Cons

Georgia Tech is known for its rigorous academics, but I think they are all worth it. The salary for graduate research assistants are pretty minimal, but if you play your cards right, you can get through grad school without having to take out a loan!
