Pros

As an undergraduate, I have a large class load and my mentor and principal investigator (PI) are very understanding of my hectic schedule. The facilities and faculty are some of the best of the best.

Cons

I've been given a few different projects to focus on, so it can be a challenge to see a big picture at times. Also, I find myself very attached to the projects and wanting to be in the lab constantly, which can have a detrimental effect on my work-life balance.

Pros

Challenging, as the undergraduate teaching assistant, you learn new knowledge, and debugging skill as well while helping other student debugging their homework. All professors I have work with are very respectful, and nice. The pay might not be much, but the experience is unique, especially if you are the person who like to help others.

Cons

The hourly pay could be better. The hourly salary for a senior student teaching assistant is only 10 dollar per hour.
