Pros

-People for the most part are very nice. -Work is not very difficult in the IT department. -Pay, is reasonable. -Privately owned, so no one is held accountable for anything. (both a pro and a con) -Nice location.

Cons

-Extremely passive aggressive workplace (at least in the IT department). -Very political work environment. -IT management is confused and disorganized. -Quality leadership is almost none existent at Getty. -No growth! -Feels almost like one of those tech bubble business lines, just asking to pop and leave a wake of unemployment. -Within the IT side of Getty (4th floor) none of the sub departments work together well (my observation). -To be honest, if you fully respect yourself and are not desperate for a job, then this is not a good place to work at all. No training.

Toxic corporate circus

Pros

Editorial part of the business produces amazing work, and even if you don’t work with those teams directly, it’s exciting to see what they do

Cons

Getty Images is a toxic workplace. There are people in management roles who routinely bully, harass and scapegoat other employees in order to cover up their own incompetence, and HR facilitates retaliation against those who raise concerns

leadership out of touch, lots of experience debt

Pros

great images taken by photographers.

Cons

Egos outweigh collaboration unfortunately. The organization faces a significant amount of experience debt, largely stemming from a lack of technical depth at the leadership level. This creates barriers to progress and innovation as influence is often tied to years worked at the company, rather than capability or demonstrated impact. Unfortunately, this environment has led to the attrition of highly capable individuals, including those from FAANG backgrounds, who leave due to limited opportunities for growth and a lack of strategic direction, and lack of priorities. Leadership who have stayed for more than 2 years have lost their ability to make sound decision-making, given all the changes happening outside of the org, or adapt to evolving industry standards,
