Pros

Offices are nice. Work life balance is quite positive. Low stress in most areas. Decent pay and benefits. By and large other employees are great people and are enjoyable to work with.

Cons

Dodgy systems everywhere that need to be replaced. Senior management that has been in place far too long. People are not motivated to do well since they rarely move up. A clique-ish social environment based largely around hard partying and drinking excludes many. An unfavorable debt situation seems to be causing issues with cash flow. Fundamentally, the leadership has been too caught up in believing in their own rhetoric. While they were going on these last few years about how 'pictures can change the world' a competitor has nearly overtaken them and may do so shortly.

Great content, archaic company

Pros

some of the most unique content on earth - ton of access to unique photographers and sponsorship of many festivals around the world. very inspiring

Cons

unfortunately, the company is showing its age (20 year-old) - systems are always on the verge of breaking, office is rife with politcs with teams sniping at one another, SVPs have been at the company for 10+ years - limited willingness to change status quo. No matter what the company says, you're not empowered and the execs will tell you what to do.

Pros

Great bunch of people - quite a few who are very passionate about upholding the integrity of photography Amazing talent - get to work with some of the most talented photographers in the world Potential to be a great business, market leader

Cons

Constant change that seems to reflect a lack of direction resulting in people regularly being made redundant Levels of process that delay projects and people in key positions who are roadblocks to getting things done
