Pros

Competitive benefits package and professional development opportunities for select employees.

Cons

• While the company promotes diversity and inclusion externally, there is a noticeable gap between public messaging and internal experiences. Some employees from underrepresented backgrounds have reported feeling unsupported or overlooked. • The handling of workplace concerns—especially those related to bias, discrimination, and accessibility—can feel inconsistent. Employees seeking accommodations or fair treatment may not always receive adequate support. • Workplace culture can be challenging for employees who do not fit into the dominant social dynamics, with some reporting an environment where favoritism plays a role in career progression. • HR processes and internal investigations often lack transparency, making it difficult for employees to feel confident that concerns are addressed impartially. • It can be discouraging when employees who raise legitimate concerns feel dismissed rather than engaged in meaningful dialogue. • Some former employees have reported continued interactions from company representatives on professional networking platforms, raising concerns about boundaries and post-employment monitoring. Clearer policies on engagement with former employees could help avoid discomfort and misunderstandings.

Not a creative place

Pros

Paid well. Flexible remote working. Good benefits including health care

Cons

If you're looking to work somewhere that puts creativity first, this is not the place to be. Getty Images is very much a corporate organization. You will be faced with a lot of rigidity and pushback for the simplest ideas. Very risk averse. Photographers and videographers are being paid less and less for the work they do. The company takes advantage of parts of the world where salaries are generally low, for example countries like Serbia, where they can pay creators there much less money to shoot content. It's all about stuffing money into the pockets of shareholders and meeting KPIs. Since going on the stock exchange, they seem even more eager to save every penny they can, by paying photographers less, staff less and reducing the sales org commission where they can. They are ruthless, will make job cuts and redundancies, even to those who have been at the company over 20 years. Absolutely no loyalties. You become desensitized to how much they don't care about people.

A company to avoid working for in India

Pros

The global workforce is professional and efficient. The company works on the premise of disrupt and innovate, which is excellent if one likes to work in a fast paced environment. Great product line and very efficient work systems.

Cons

The Getty Images India Management is unprofessional, inexperienced, technologically challenged, unaware of market requirements and professional etiquette with little to no sense of business direction, only misguided aggression. A very toxic work culture is encouraged where gossip and bullying is given preference over discipline and professional work. The management team in India often make inappropriate comments on employee and client religion, financial status, personal habits and social media presence. No career progression opportunities or work life balance. Employees are expected to take 'emergency calls' from their managers at 2 am, over the weekend and at any given time of day or night. Often , little work is discussed over these lengthy calls. The global Getty Images culture and values are not followed.
