Hurting the Photo Industry

Working with some of the best photographers/imagery available today

Cons

Vicious corporate culture, and ultimately a destructive force in the world of journalism that is slowly eroding the value of photography by turning it into a volume business model... its the Walmart/Amazon of the photo world. This mentality is undercutting the value of each photo and ultimately making it impossible for freelance photographers to make continue to remain profitable in the digital age.

Pros

I really love working at Getty Images. My coworkers have become like family and it's amazing to see the content that we are able to produce on a daily basis. Management is open and I feel like I can talk with my direct bosses about almost anything. Office environment is very relaxed and people just get their work done in a fun environment.

Cons

Budgets have been a little rough lately which is scary when it's talked about without any context.

Good product to sell Great co-workers and office environment Solid benefits (no insurance premiums for employees, transit credit, 401k match, etc.)

Cons

Communication can be improved Lots of change - if you don't like that I would not suggest working here Management opportunities are not often available because of flat structure
