      Low prices mean not enough staff

      Weekly paycheck, flexible schedule, good coworkers

      Cons

      Since you only get your schedule for the following week on Friday, it's hard to schedule your life around work. Currently there's the bare minimum of staffing so you have to do the work of two people and they don't appreciate the effort. I feel like I'm working in a Sears or K-Mart expecting to show up to a locked store one day.

      -fairly flexible (if unpredictable) hours -easy work

      Cons

      -unpredictable Sun-Sat schedule that you don't find out about until Thursday night -managers "starve" employees by giving them fewer hours than they need to keep them "hungry" for hours so they work harder to "earn" better schedules -managers frequently don't respect their employees as people -getting fired by getting transferred or freezed out is common -enough sexual harassment to make me uncomfortable happened weekly -low pay, especially after you have experience and moderate responsibility

      Great HR staff; always kind and sorted out issues quickly.

      Cons

      Terrible management decisions (though I suspect corporate is to blame). Throughout the entirety of the week before Christmas 2016, a maximum of 3 cashiers were scheduled at once. On weekends, only 2 cashiers being scheduled was not an uncommon occurrence (this was at a large store in the Columbus, OH area). Also, several stores fired a lot of important staff, including the Loss Prevention representative.
