Poor and disorganized management, no recognition for going above and beyond, constant criticism of even the most minor mistakes. Difficult to advance in company no matter how good of a worker you are, difficult and demanding customers, very boring job, Slow accumulation of vacation time, poor and complicated employee discount program

Giant has always been a leader because of the people they employed

They are pushing out a whole generation of older workers who have been LOYAL to them and everyone else is WATCHING to see another grocery store get gobbled up in the washington area. So SAD really

Excellent pay and benefits. Vacation caps out at 5 weeks and great bonus potential. Sunday's are optional and are paid extra unlike much of the competition

Cons

Long hours and abusive upper management. Very poor work life balance and no respect for days off by upper management
