Pros

Countless, but to name a few. 1) Cool science, projects, culture, and work environment. Full of teamwork, easy to be self-motivated, and extra work/effort generally does not go unnoticed. No apparent politics or backstabbing. 2) Multitude in career advancement/ladders catered to one's needs, can be promoted while stay working lab or shift to management, while being compensated the same. 3) Founders are charismatic, and have not lost touch with science. Very passionate, yet strategic. All while being transparent about company's directions and being considerate of the employees. 4) Managers are generally considerate of their teammates/workers, while also being mindful of project deliverables/milestones. They generally do not lose sight of their fellow workers in the course of catering to the needs of clients/investors. 5) No major complaints or red flags. Which is why I think there aren't much reviews, or having to resort to listing minor perks like "free food" as pros.

Cons

None really, but I agree with most of the Cons listed in other reviews. Just to point out: 1) Salary/compensation is average and pretty much level with other Ginkgo folks to foster teamwork and mitigate politics/backstabbing. Also means harder to move up the career ladder based on "individual" stellar performance, although totally understandable since there is likely no such thing as a true stellar performance by just one individual. But tries to keep individual motivation up by having emergent role-based promotions. 2) Generally the work-life balance is good. But some people/teams definitely have more work than others, which is not necessarily reflected in salary/compensation to maintain "equality." 3) Incoming employee onboarding is a bit disorganized and hectic. But hey, minimal bureaucracy to slow us down. 4) Employee training is not as formalized and organized. But hey, minimal bureaucracy to slow us down. 5) There is no cookie-cutter management style, so people will have different experience across different teams. But hey, minimal bureaucracy to slow us down.
