      Pros

      I have worked a bunch of different places, but GitLab has to be my favorite so far. The culture permeates the organization. Everything is done remotely and asynchronously so I don't feel pressure to keep my seat warm and there is no commute. I am actually encouraged to take time off. Also, the benefits cost less than what my health insurance alone cost at my old job. All in all, I hope to make a long career out of working at GitLab.

      Cons

      You need to be self-motivated and be able to find a place to focus to work remotely. Not really a con, but something for potential employees to consider. Also, you may be able to get paid more elsewhere, but the benefits of working remote are worth their weight in gold.

      Pros

      Full time work from home, competitive pay, great product, great people. The coffee chats and breakout meetings help you to not feel isolated working from home, everyone is very friendly and helpful

      Cons

      None thus far, except the extensive interview process!

      Pros

      It was been a great initial 2 weeks with Gitlab. Things have gone well and I have received a lot of help and insight from my new team members. It has the benefits of being remote without making you feel alienated or like a person on an island. I am liking it a lot this far and I look forward to having a successful, collaborative and fulfilling career here. They take care of you at Gitlab.

      Cons

      The interview process definitely needs work and I imagine they lose out on a lot of good candidates because of it.
