Pros

1. Gitlab is an awesome place for work/life balance: fully remote but with FTF meetings at will, both with customers, partners and employees, really family oriented. 2. Great product that customers love. 3. Awesome sales growth.

Cons

1. The company prefers to hire new people instead of promoting from within, which leads to significant headcount churn. 2. Uncapped revenue churn at some levels in the sales organisation, which may not even be legal, amounting to significant penalties on the sellers who may have no control over the matter.

Pros

All remote company that respects and looks after thier staff. Allows for flexible work times and with a family first ethic. One of the best companies I have ever worked for. This list can go but I will just say that the company values are practiced everywhere.

Cons

The tech stack that GitLab supports is massive and there is a huge learning curve before you feel comfortable handling customer tickets solo. But is growth really a con or part of life?

Pros

This company is like a breath of fresh air compared to any other company I've worked for before. The flexibility and transparency that the company strives for meets and exceeds all expectations I had as an employee. I was able to take more time off in my first two months here than I had in the last two years and that was without using any PTO - just company mandated days off. I always know my goals and have a clear view of what I'm working on which allows me to grow within my role in very big ways. I highly recommend this company to anyone and my excitement shows when I get the chance to speak with candidates.

Cons

If you're not used to the async communication style on a global scale - it can really throw you off. A lot of the things you do are self guided and driven only by you, which is wonderful if you're ok with minimal oversight, but if you're the type of person who needs the face to face daily interaction than this company may not be for you.
