Pros

So transparent about everything we do. GitLab really lives by its values every single day and we apply them in everything we do. Benefits are very very good too! Though GitLab is an all-remote company, there are so many recurring events/activities and encouraged coffee chats with team members that make us feel very connected to each other. The idea that everyone can contribute is very accurate from the very first day and they trust you to make decisions regardless of how long you've been here. It really feels like family (they also even say family comes first) and I'm grateful to be a part of this embracing and talented team!

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing I can think of.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, asynchronous work culture, and a mandate to prioritize your happiness and balance your work with your day to day life. A culture which promotes thanking others and recognizing and rewarding people based on their work. What more can I say about GitLab? This company is amazing to work for and has been a dream job for me!

Cons

We have employees all over the world, so you need to be able to work across time zones or be good at working asynchronously with colleagues who may be across the world from you.

Pros

Aside from being able to work fully remotely, GitLab holds true to their values and continues to apply them to every decision made. Everything is open and documented in the Handbook which makes workflows much more efficient. No matter your position, your opinions are valued just as much as the next person's. GitLab has a very clear vision and they make sure that steps are taken and documented to get there. They also CARE about their employees!! Compensation is reviewed on a yearly basis to ensure you're getting a fair salary compared to the market, vacation is unlimited, with a no ask no tell policy, and everyone is extremely supportive.

Cons

Haven't run into any thus far.
