It is a renowned research institute.

Cons

Absolutely horrible management. The work environment is extremely unhealthy but the management doesn’t do anything about senior employees who actively make it difficult for new employees to work.

Pros

The work environment was quite good, it exposed me to a great amount of expertise and fairly high standards. It is associated with UCSF, which also provides opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Cons

It is nearly impossible to find a place to live in San Francisco, rents are incredibly high. The university only allows one two-year period of stay in their residence. Schools were quite poor and placement was through lottery, anywhere in the city boundary.
