Pros

- Extremely transparent company with solid ethics - Amazing co-workers that encourage collaboration and innovation whenever possible - Fairly solid benefits (slightly less than other tech companies, but overall mostly comparable) - Fosters strong work / life balance - Remote friendly - New office for those who want to use it is amazing - Strong engineering culture with bi-annual hackathons that almost always has projects that end up in production and / or drive new product decisions

Cons

- Benefits could be slightly better (better 401k match, sabbaticals, bringing back 2 company holidays a month, more logical geo-tiers for pay) - Although becoming less of a problem, lots of resources spent on legacy tech debt - For a while innovation seemed stagnant, but with new fishbowl initiatives (among other things), we seem to be moving in the right direction.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Glassdoor. We're very proud of maintaining our strong engineering culture, and our great people are the lifeblood of our company. I hear your points on the legacy tech - we are working on eliminating as much as possible, as soon as possible! I appreciate your comments on our priorities, and you can rest assured that it is top of mind for us. - Shane O'Grady, VP of Engineering

Thanks for the feedback. Here is how we manage our Total Reward practices, we lead with these four core principles: 1. Equitable, ethical and transparent approach 2. Competitive and responsive to the market 3. Globally consistent and locally sensitive 4. And being scalable and operationally efficient To establish our pay ranges, we target the 65th percentile for non-tech roles and the 75th percentile for technical roles against the market data sets. Our direct peers typically target the 50th percentile to create their base salary mid-points. In other words, our pay packages beat 65% and 75% of our direct competitors for the same role. We also take a pay for performance approach, which means we offer total rewards programs that reward you for individual and company success. We are deliberately paying more to high performers and those with high future potential within our organization. Finally, we are continuing to hire and retain teammates in a challenging environment and have made an investment that more than doubled our RSU pool for 2022 to deliver substantial increases in both new hire and in-seat RSU refresher grants. - Brian Conner, Sr. Director of Total Rewards and Operations

Pros

I loved the company. I started during the covid crisis and the managers were very attentive to the well being of the employees. They sincerely care, loved the energy on this company. The product is stimulating and people inspiring.

Cons

Unfortunalely because of the covid crisis, they laid off a lot of people.
