Pros

Laid-back environment (because everyone apparently stopped caring a long time ago).

Cons

The shop and building are horribly outdated and make it feel like a dungeon. The are mice, rats, and pigeons inside. The upstairs gray and grayer cubicle farm hasn't been updated since the early 80's, I would guess. The morale matches the decor. There is no communication and deadlines change without anyone knowing. Managements spends all of their time in meetings but nothing changes. Everyone is miserable and they don't hide it (even to new hires on their first day). Zero room for growth for many positions, and minimal raises. What they pay for supposed "skilled" labor is a slap in the face. No company culture. Once a year company picnic that is basically just cafeteria food served outside.

Good work, terrible job.

Pros

Interesting work in terms of problem-solving and skillbuilding. Good benefits. Flexible scheduling. Paid lunch.

Cons

Micromanagement, condescension, ego trips. Company loves to neglect preventative maintenance until a machine's broken for months, THEN they'll pay for repairs and drag their feet the whole time. MRP and timeclock infrastructure sucks. Bureaucratic rot. Everything out of sync. Low mobility within the company, raise scale sucks.
