Pros
Some OK people who know what they're doing, but unfortunately that's on the decline as the years pass by.
Cons
They almost went out of business in 2010, so don't plan on going to work there, and expecting to retire from there some day. Chummy in some of the management, territorial in other ways, and it was like that both times I worked there. Like any place, it leads to an adversarial environment, and one which is resistant to change. The area I worked in had terribly antiquated equipment, for the most part. The company should have invested in equipment decades ago,and merely maintained a level of commitment to procurement befitting a world class manufacturing firm. Instead, some of the machines are barely able to keep tolerance, and the people who run the equipment are some of the unsung heroes of the company. They have a reputation for hiring during boom times, then laying off and firing people when things go badly in the machine tool industry. There really isn't any job security there for people with not much time on the job.
